The Health and Social Services Department aims to improve the health and wellbeing of Islanders through the delivery of safe, high quality, value for money services.

The States of Jersey Assembly is the elected parliament of Jersey and is responsible for making new laws and regulations, approving the amount of public money to be spent by the States every year and approving the amount of tax to be raised.

As a Government led, single integrated service funded by local taxes, our care is completely people centred, meaning more time to really care and the opportunity for better planning and deliverance of patient needs. Working in partnership with each other and our voluntary, community and independent sector partners, including those in Primary Care, we continue on our journey transforming and developing services in line with ‘A New Way Forward for Health and Social Care’.
